LA/PAC's AB/CD/CD are behind the latest music video for Jain.
For Jain's 'Night Heights,' AB/CD/CD combined technical prowess with clear, imaginative vision and brought a new facet of the French singer-songwriter to life. This surreal journey, enhanced with on-set effects and 3D elements, invites you right into its heart.
Thanks to the name of the track, 'Nights heights', inspired by a tarot card evoking the devil, we aimed to reveal a different facet of herself, a new Jain that the tarot card would reveal.
AB/CD/CD said of the project, "This shift in her identity was an exciting journey for us. It also marked her first dance performance on-screen and her first exploration of the theme of desire. Collaborating with choreographer Laura Bachman, Sony Music, and Jain herself to strike the right tone was a stimulating challenge, given Jain's already unique artistic universe. In terms of identity and tone, we all agreed on a central idea: to construct a surreal, minimalist world, drawing inspiration from Moebius and the iconic ‘erotic’ scene from Blade Runner 2049. These retro-futuristic references align perfectly with the album's visual aesthetics and its ties to tarot and Zoltar. The interplay of bodies in the Blade Runner scene became a key inspiration, reflecting Jain's narrative of embracing desire in the song. We brought this theme to life using a playful alter ego who both tempts and transforms her."
