A Renovation in Pictures: Yellow Boat Music Unveils Its Revamped Studio Space

Yellow Boat Music is located in the heart of vibrant Soho and based in the renowned Dean Street Studios which, throughout half a century, has had music royalty such as David Bowie, Thin Lizzy and The Moody Blues walk through its doors.

While our surroundings are steeped in history, inside our studio, it's a completely different story. We understand that staying ahead of the latest developments is crucial - in music as well as Adland, more broadly. We've recently undergone an exciting major studio revamp.

Here, we've laid out the renovation process in pictures:

BEFORE

Our key aims with the renovation were to provide a better acoustic performance and to maximise the potential of the space. We wanted to create a more atmospheric, ambient, and comfortable space for our clients and creatives to come in and use. 

DURING

As you can see here, we gutted the studio and knocked down one wall entirely to expand the space. Then, we carefully built the sound-isolated walls from scratch again.

AFTER

The result, three months later: Our new and improved home, meaning we can cater to any project or client's unique needs. Studio 2 now has more breathing space and state-of-the-art fittings and equipment, including a desk designed by Wave Nature Acousticals.
