All-inclusive electric car (EV) subscription service Onto, has launched its first above the line campaign created by newly appointed ad agency Creature, in partnership with media and measurement agency, Chamber. The campaign launches on 20th October, ahead of COP26, across Channel 4 and Sky.
The campaign, Happily EV After, is a big brand idea that will sit at the heart of Onto’s communications while also helping them build their share of voice in an increasingly loud marketplace.
Born from the brand’s proposition of boundless freedom, the TV ad celebrates Onto’s unique model of car ownership; one that promises zero faff with its all-inclusive offer, keeps up with its customers’ lifestyle, and doesn’t compromise values.
Directed by Tom Clover, the ad demonstrates how freeing life can be with an Onto subscription. We see our protagonists’ imagination take her zooming through the vibey cloud world of Onto, rippling with energetic green electricity. As we watch her travel, the car changes as her needs do. From celebrations with friends to a romantic road trip, they float blissfully into their next Happily EV After before she’s brought back down to earth by her partner. Thankfully, the reality is almost as dreamy as we see them drive off in their own Onto car.

The launch of Happily EV After follows Onto’s recent funding news, raising $175million to accelerate the expansion of its subscription model in the UK, and embark on the next phase of its rapid growth.
