A Little Gesture Goes a Long Way in Charming Christmas Commercial from Dutch Drugstore Etos

Dutch drugstore Etos has released a new animated Christmas campaign continuing the message “it’s lovely what something little can do”, created by creative agency TBWA\NEBOKO and crafted by creative production studio Ambassadors. 

In the 25-second animated TV commercial, we see the joy that a small gesture can bring when a little girl gives her grandpa the gift of self-care with a pink, fizzing, glitter bath bomb. He’s amazed by the magical effect in the bath and passes on the small gesture to a friend. 

“Especially in this day and time it is important that people reach out to each other, and with this sweet little story we hope to enthuse people to do so,” says Etos Head of Marketing Madelon Altena-Bogers.  

“This was about bringing a smile to people’s faces through a sweet story and beautiful artwork, and we worked to create a style that felt like a children's book brought to life,” says Ambassadors director Nick Groeneveld. “To achieve that, we broke up the silhouette and shapes of the characters so they looked painted by hand and you really felt the brush strokes.”

The campaign is now rolling out on TV, online and in stores nationwide.
