Established in 2000, Studio AKA is run by a partnership of three award-winning principal creators, and a studio of peerless artists. They are a close-knit team of 50 people, comprising directors, designers, animators, writers, technical artists, and producers who create projects with strong, appealing design and engaging storytelling, using a myriad of techniques from hand-drawn animation to 3D CG and everything in-between. The range of work produced over the years is testament to the studio’s ability to reinvent themselves, and a willingness to explore new techniques and narrative platforms.
From original TV series to title sequences, commercials, and short films, Studio AKA thrives on both commissioned projects and self-initiated work.
Fuelled by a passion for exceptional craft and fresh ideas, the eclectic range of work produced reflects AKA’s ability to reinvent themselves and embrace new ideas—from the apocalyptic title sequence for Ridley Scott’s Raised By Wolves to the globally beloved preschool hit Hey Duggee.
