The fastest game on grass meets the Ireland’s fastest broadband in epic new spots for the eir Hurling Championship by Tenth Man and Piranha Bar. We were honoured to be joined by the greats of the game in Kite studios for an epic shoot with a giant Technocrane and much clashing of the ash. As we swept over the players between flying sliotars and hurls, the exhilaration of capturing the skills gave way to gentle alarm as we contemplated the task ahead – to place all the action in a digital Croke Park and generate magical data infused light trails for each player and hurl.
With the aid of Unreal Engine rendering Croke Park at blistering speeds and beautiful trail elements in Cinema 4D and After effects, we crafted a stylized vision of the players in hyper focus mode, battling it out under dark skies and a neon lit stadium, oblivious to crowd and commotion.
The fastest broadband got a boost from the fastest post crew as we blazed though 4 stings and a 30 second spot (with digital set, camera tracking, body rotoscoping and trail generation on every shot) in 3 weeks. Just imagine the burrito bill.
As the dust settles for us, we hope you enjoy this very different vision of hurling and the elevation of its incredibly skilled and impressive stars.
