For this series of images for the Bahrain Economic Development Board to use across print and online media, we collaborated with photographer Andy Glass for the perfect blend of CGI and photography.
Utilising our latest technology for digital scouting, we were able to pre-visualise each scene from our London Studio, factoring in helicopter elevations, accurate GPS positioning and sun systems to calculate the best time of day and viewpoint for optimum lighting. This level of detailed pre-planning, means the shoot logistics and equipment requirements can be budgeted very accurately, all in the safe knowledge of having client approved angles before even getting onto location.
The top surface environments were captured on location in Bahrain and we sculpted the underground sections of land and sea in CGI. To help push the realism, Andy also captured clean plates of studio backgrounds for us to sit the chunks of land into, along with little puddles of water and fallen debris. The clients were amazed by the results and the successful integration of CGI with a traditional photography shoot.
