Turning a menace into a tradition ... The lionfish is an invasive menace that has become an environmental and economic threat to more than 30 countries in the Caribbean. In the Colombian waters, it has no natural predator and multiples at an enormous speed and is eating crucial native species and destroying the coral reef. While the invasion of the lionfish is unlikely to stop, our campaign of encouraging fishing and consumption during Easter Week became a massive control plan.
