A Captivating Yuletide Collaboration: Velvet Badger and Puig

 

In a wondrous inaugural Yuletide collaboration, Velvet Badger and Barcelona-based agency Puig conjured a unique vision of the festive season—an indulgent celebration befitting the equally unique Christian Louboutin.




The Intriguing Brief

 

When Puig, the luxury fragrance and beauty partner to Christian Louboutin, approached Velvet Badger in January 2020 with an alluring Christmas brief, the Badgers eagerly embraced the challenge. Tasked with delivering the brand's first-ever Christmas campaign for beauty and fragrance, we were set to premiere the latest products and Christmas packaging across social, digital, and retail domains.

 

Elevating the Luxury Experience

 

Our mission was to elevate the brand, not only as an iconic fashion house but also as a captivating beauty destination. Our canvas—an enchanting world that playfully juxtaposed cosmetic products alongside fashion items, set in surreal and seductive settings. With boundless creativity, we delved into the exquisite and alluring universe of Christian Louboutin.

 


 

"The Gift": A Journey Into Brilliance

 

The concept, aptly titled 'The Gift,' unravelled the magic of the 2020 retail Christmas snowglobe, acting as the portal into a fantastical world. Each viewer embarked on a singular journey, delving into the brilliant mind of the creator.

 

Products, cast as narrative disruptors, guided the viewer through a nuanced and minimalist "Christmas" aesthetic until they reached the stunning climax—an awe-inspiring Louboutin tree adorned with captivating products. A breathtaking moment that left viewers suspended between reality and fantasy.

 




Crafting Aesthetic Escapism

 

Over six months, the Clan laboured tirelessly, designing and delivering a stunning Christmas campaign with over 150 individual deliverables. In a year where the world stood still, our Badgers crafted pure aesthetic escapism through richly indulgent and fantastical animation.



 

Transcending All Platforms

 

The Christmas campaign transcended all platforms and modes of publication, necessitating a multitude of assets in various formats—ready to be deployed across retail and social media. From perfect packshots to composition for gifs, stills, and cutdown videos, we meticulously combed through the film to create an array of captivating deliverables.

 


 

Unleashing Captivating Teasers

 

We also created individual capsule videos, teasing more of the products to captivate global markets. In total, over 250 individual deliverables were meticulously prepared, supported by a production asset handbook to aid the client in managing the assets for the campaign rollout.

 

In a symphony of creativity and meticulous execution, Velvet Badger and Puig orchestrated an extraordinary Christmas campaign—embracing the essence of Christian Louboutin's allure and enchanting audiences around the globe with a festive celebration like no other.
