  • Don’t Accept Whatever. Castle Lite didn’t. Neither did Katlego.

For those who really love their draught beer, there’s no room for compromise. No room for warm brews or ice-cream what–whats or sloppy yoh’s Castle Lite accepts nothing less than perfection, in their beer and their creative partners. Which means the match made with Promise and Spitfire Director Katlego Baaitse was perfect.

In the hunt for the ultimate Extra Cold Draught, Katlego introduces the “legendary draught critic”. Through a series of quirky scenes, we follow our draught critic as he’s subjected to beer after beer that’s just … whatever. With beautiful styling and wardrobe, nuanced direction and exquisite comedic timing, Katlego lovingly leads us to the pinnacle of draught beer.

All underpinned by an amazing original score by Audio Militia which begins with a Western theme, moves into an energetic Tarantino-inspired track before ending with SA’s second national anthem: the iconic Sister Bethina. Because it’s Castle Lite. And you must Never ever Accept Whatever.

Castle Lite didn’t. Katlego never does. And neither should you. So maybe it’s time you called Spitfire.

    About Spitfire Films

“Where there’s a screen, there’s an opportunity.” When Spitfire Films was established a decade ago by Executive Producer Liesl Karpinski and Director AK, this was a statement of intent designed to disrupt the existing production model. And Spitfire has been doing it successfully ever since. South Africa’s first 360º content production company, Spitfire has collaborated closely with the industry’s top advertising agencies and clients to create some of the country’s most effective – and engaging – content.

From TV and cinema commercials, and hugely successful interactive digital campaigns (KFC “Shakin”), to activations for Fox Crime, Insta stories for Mumm Champagne, and SA’s first interactive horror film with Facebook Live for DSTV, Spitfire has created outstanding work for every kind of content. And built a reputation for fast turnaround times, excellent value, and high creative standards. Standards embraced by our grassroots talent who are in the process of becoming Spitfire shareholders.

But it’s the work itself that speaks the loudest to Spitfire’s intent. And talent. Please take a look.
