Chicken Licken - Ya'Hunga Forever
WE TEAMED UP WITH JOE PUBLIC AND GREG GRAY OF ROMANCE FILMS TO CREATE THIS EPIC BLACK PANTHER PARODY FOR CHICKEN LICKEN
THE ASK
Create a cinematic track of Hollywood standard, but with an African twist, for this parody commercial in order to fool audiences into thinking they are watching the opening of Marvel’s Black Panther: Wakanda Forever as this TVC was aired just before the premiere of the film in theatres in South Africa.

THE RESPONSE
The piece we created starts off as being serious and cinematic inspired heavily by Ludwig Göransson’s Academy Award winning score from the 2018 Marvel film, we then combine light and playful musical elements that play into the comedic tone of the commercial’s reveal, while still keeping the audience in the world of the film. The programming of the orchestra was critical here to make it a believable Hollywood score.
