Showing marketers that YouTube is now mainstream
Challenge: Some UK advertisers and marketers are unaware of the full audience reach of YouTube - young to old, north to south it’s reach is unparalleled. Our challenge was to show how it’s now part of the mainstream.
Solution: The idea was ‘This is my YouTube’: well known famous faces revealing their favourite YouTube moments. We created a new format where celebrity couples revealed to each other their YouTube search history. I mean, would you show your partner yours? The series included Olympic champ Nicola Adams, DJ Annie Mac and footballer Rio Ferdinand, plus their other halves.
Outcome: Specific results are confidential, but the series was such a success on both YouTube and LinkedIn, that a second series was quickly commissioned featuring the likes of actor Andrew Scott, DJ Clara Amfo and singer-songwriter Jessie Ware.
