Facebook's Creative X approached Not To Scale and Anthony Farquhar-Smith to create charming and inventive stop-motion animation for Earth Day 2021!
Working with Facebook’s brand colours and identity, three films were created featuring a mixture of user-generated-content and stop-motion animation, charmingly bringing to life the group messages of sustainability and reducing environmental impact. Ordinary every-day objects such as fruit, furniture and bicycles come to life, showing the audience how small changes can be made through reducing meat consumption, up-cycling materials and cycling instead of driving. We worked with the owners of the three Facebook groups to create their content remotely, alongside a talented group of creatives to painstakingly shoot every frame of animation.
The goal for these films was to showcase Facebook Groups and the Facebook app as a place for young people especially to engage with things that matter to them, and as an important platform for people to get inspired and involved in climate change discussions, symbolised by the tagline ‘More Together’.
Not To Scale is a full-service, next-generation global film and animation production company based in London, New York, Los Angeles and Amsterdam.
Next-generation because we can scale up or down to work remotely with our directors and our preferred crew wherever that is in the world, taking advantage of time zones to effectively deliver high quality work to global clients.
Next-generation, also because we have always been an equal opportunities employer that supports diversity and inclusion for all minorities and an ethically minded studio, that, where able to, uses renewable energy sources.
