The Glassworks VFX team orchestrated the full CG takeover, digitally building the LEGO set and animating the thrilling match in 3D. As the camera moves in and around the CG table set, the diverse line-up of minifigures created by LEGO takes the spotlight in this star-studded film.
Directed by brilliant duo The Rest, the ad unveils LEGO’s fan-designed fussball set and forms part of the wider ‘For the Joy of Play’ campaign. Glassworks London looked after all the VFX work: the CGI, the compositing – developing the different transitions between shots and seamlessly blending the live action and CG – as well as the grade.
