At a time when everyone was suffering the invisible stresses of the COVID-19 pandemic, Mt. Rainier launched the Deep Healing Project to bring deep healing to the world.

Part of this Deep Healing Project, “ZOOm (The Zoo on Zoom)” was the first service in Japan* to allow users invite animals to Zoom meetings using cameras installed at zoos and aquariums across the country.

At the same time, the initiative also supports the zoos and aquariums, which had been having a hard time attracting visitors as people were unable to actually visit them due to the pandemic.

Whether the animals actually participate depends on their mood. But when they do appear, they are sure to soothe everyone attending the meeting.
