Zurich has its eyes on the future of our planet and wants to inspire hope through action. Sustainable change will come from people so Zurich worked with influential creators to help a global audience share their vision. 

#WhatCanGoRight 

Challenge 

As a founding member of the UN’s Net-Zero Insurance Alliance, Zurich Insurance Group set out to inspire ‘Zellenials’ as a leader on sustainability. And to prove it, we wanted to save at least 1M CO2 kg from entering the atmosphere during COP26.

Context 

GenZ & Millennials are notoriously distrustful of brands and attempts to greenwash their image. They want to see commitment to a cause beyond the headlines. They take their cues from local creators and influencers, not those broadcasting at them. They are bombarded with doomsday scenarios every day.

Solution  

If we wanted participation then we had to engage our global audience with a quest. Actually, three educational quests to reduce CO2: reduce waste; reduce food waste; conscious buying.

Our creators got the ball rolling with tips and a link to our tool/ tracker for our audience to calculate the impact their changes had made. 

Instead of focusing on what is going wrong, we asked people to imagine, with their involvement, #WhatCanGoRight

Results 

More than 1 million CO2 kg reduced!

That's 50 fewer garbage truck trips.

+18.4% Higher OPINION of Zurich

+4.1% PERCEPTION of Zurich as a sustainable brand

+6.0% INTENT to purchase from Zurich
