Crayola believes every child should have the power to create their place in the world by coloring themselves into it. To foster a sense of belonging and inclusivity and ensure that every child can creatively and accurately color themselves into the world around them, Crayola launched the Colors of the World crayons. The Colors of the World crayons feature 24 specially formulated colors representing over 40 global skin tones. Through a partnership with a global skin tone expert and an integrated marketing campaign, the new inclusive crayon colors were uniquely developed and communicated to the world. To launch Colors of the World, we created a campaign representing kids around the globe, uniting them with life changing tools to make them feel a long-awaited sense of belonging. No matter their skin tone, ethnicity, ability or background, they can now be seen. Through a series of emotional films featuring a variety of self-portraits drawn by kids all over the world, we are encouraging everyone to finally draw their “True Selfie.”
