How should we use tech in education? We had the great fortune to spend some time with some great school kids, ages 5-17, to find out. We asked asked them some tough questions (e.g. What does the the nebula NGC 6543 look like?" and " What's the hydrologic cycle?"), and then gave them the tools to investigate for themselves. And while they found answers, what was more exciting was that they found inspiration to explore ideas which only minutes before seemed dry, abstract, and confusing.
