‘One in 1000’ is an audio-picture book created during the lockdown, in collaboration with writer and illustrator Sonia Alcón, whose son Jojo was born with congenital talipes equinovarus, otherwise known as Clubfoot.

Clubfoot affects 1 in 1000 children and is treated with a combination of stretching, casting, and bracing with a special pair of boots that need to be worn every night for 5 years. The book is a personal piece, dedicated to her son and daughter and the many little children who are affected by Clubfoot.

As confinement continues for many, we hope this offers parents a form of light distraction and entertainment for their kids, as well as offering support for children and families of Clubfoot or those with little funds to purchase the book during this time.
