Ahead of its launch in Europe, Corvette wanted to prove that their new 706 model was just as capable of handling the continent’s sharp corners and twisting mountain roads as any European supercar, whilst reinforcing the brand’s reputation for speed and power.
They approached us to help them produce a one-of-a-kind stunt that would drive brand awareness, generate leads for test-drives and increase showroom traffic.
We took the car to the notoriously steep and winding roads, of the Klausen Pass in Switzerland, where we recruited legendary Red Bull Wingsuit flyer Jokke Sommer to race the supercar in an epic challenge between man and machine. With just one three day shoot, we produced an entire ecosystem of content designed to drive consumers to Chevrolet’s specially built online microsite, where they could request a digital test drive of the car.
Alongside an epic hero film, cinema and tv edits and a set of hero images and stills that were used for print, display and OOH content, we were able to produce a suite of social assets that used cutting edge video formats, polls and 360 techniques to bring the thrilling race to life.
Our content drove over 290k visitors to Corvette’s site in just 13 weeks, resulting in an incredible 7,398 test drive requests and 10,757 total leads. On average, our content ecosystem generated an average of 20m impressions of the film per week, smashing brand awareness targets and making it one of Corvette’s most successful campaigns ever.
