Kellogg’s has launched the latest in its series of TV spots for Crunchy Nut in the UK, called ‘The Flattering Photo’.
The film was created by Publicis Kellogg’s One, a Power of One team combining Digitas and Leo Burnett, working with award-winning director Danny Kleinman and Rattling Stick Films.
The story unfolds as our female protagonist enters a busy café, trying to spot her date from his online profile. Seeing him for real prompts her to make a swift exit, until the irresistible lure of Crunchy Nut on the buffet table stops her in her tracks. The loud crunch reveals her location and her date makes a beeline for her. We cut to four years in the future to discover what happened next.
The film will also run in France, Italy and Russia.
Isabelle Yacine, Marketing Director at Kellogg’s said “It was not an easy task to follow from the highly successful executions we’ve had on Crunchy Nut in the past few years but the team have done an amazing job, staying true to the campaign while bringing a fresh take to it.”
Peter Drake, Executive Creative Director at Digitas said “This new episode is an endearing, modern twist in the ‘troublesome consequences’ saga around Crunchy Nut’s irresistible food. This time the consequences turn out to be unexpectedly good for everyone. A little love story in miniature, all pivoting on our female protagonist’s love of the delectable food.”
