Outpost VFX worked in collaboration with Intro UK to create the launch film for the new Ford GT40 Le Mans car. The film reminisces through the incredible 1st, 2nd and 3rd place victories of the 1966 Ford GT Le Mans car and goes on to show Ford's innovation in creating both a 2016 GT road car and the new Le Mans race car. Outpost VFX built the 1966 model and the new model in CG and created transitions in 3D to show the evolution of the design through a series of dramatically lit fully CG scenes. We then proceeded to composite the CG race car into a series of stock and shot footage as it races through Paris and finally off to Le Mans.
