SKY - SKY – ‘SKY CINEMA’

The Coffee & TV team have collaborated again with Sky Creative to create the broadcaster’s summer brand commercial for Sky Cinema. The creative for ‘Escape With Us This Summer’ aims to promote Sky Cinema’s summer line up of movies including the ten biggest blockbusters of 2016, where the film’s well known characters are represented by a formation of hot air balloons. The commercial follows the balloons, created in CG, as they travel through summer inspired scenes of British life. Due to time constraints, the commercial was shot on one day against blue screen; so this required Coffee & TV’s specialist team of artists to supplement the scenes with matte painting and shot extension. The balloons were modelled in CG and textured to appear cinematic and sleek rather than fabric-like to capture the essence of the movies. All elements were composited in-house to achieve the final result. Simon Corkin from Sky was lead creative on the project, which was directed by Phil Lind. This Sky Cinema commercial is the latest collaboration between Coffee & TV and Sky Creative, following a series of campaigns for the broadcaster this year.
