Jumbla Showreel 2016
At the risk of sounding imprudent, we’re going to admit that it wasn’t easy deciding which Jumbla works to include in our 2016 showreel. After all, our designers and animators have done some pretty impressive stuff over the past 12 months!
We think the 60 second teaser displays the diversity and scope of our creative talent as well as the quality and detail of our work. The clients that the various bits were created for are incredibly diverse. They include Childwise, Deakin University, Melbourne Spring Fashion Week, Chris Froome’s Y3llow, the video game Grey Goo, Carben Creative and the Wilderness Society.
We're proud to say almost every single animation featured in the showreel has won - or been a finalist for - an award, if not several.
Frankie, who compiled the reel, choose a song by London-based folk musician Thom Rosenthal.
“I picked the track Miffed because it had a good mixture of dreamy vocals, hi-hats, strings and piano. Not only does it have many different sounds and beats, making it fun to cut to, but the powerful overall tone also helps capture and communicate a quality of grandeur.”
Our creative director Cal says it shows the extent to which Jumbla will try to maximise the potential of every brief, by solving problems and embracing new challenges.
“As far as the quality of work is concerned, it’s certainly the best reel we’ve put together so far. It’s a good indication of where we’re at as a studio," he says. “We’re very diverse and can tackle any style - I think that shows.”
