For a third year Avantgarde have produced the annual Paralympic fan zones for the British Paralympic Association, this year changing the name from National Paralympic Day to The ParalympicsGB Carnival in a nod to the Rio Paralympic Games.
Going bigger and better than in previous years the roadshow went to six locations; Stoke Mandeville, London, Cardiff, Stoke on Trent, Nottingham and Edinburgh, bringing a taste of Rio to each city throughout September.
The Carnival was an inclusive family event that allowed the public to try out a wide range of Paralympic and disability sports including archery, powerchair football, sitting volleyball, adapted cycling, wheelchair basketball and many more. Attendees could also meet ex-Paralympic athletes and see an official Rio 2016 Paralympic torch.
Over the six events 32 sports and activities were available to try and over 13,500 people came out to bring the spirit of Rio to the UK.
