We developed a solution as effortless as the Sonos itself. A poster that connects to the Sonos system and immediately changes the tune every time you throw something at it––a crumpled piece of copy paper. A dart from a Nerf gun. Whatever’s handy.
We attached a force sensitive resistor to the back of a Sonos poster we designed. The resistor generates a small amount of voltage every time the poster is struck (which is read by an ADC and reported to a Raspberry Pi 2 over SPI). When the voltage reading is raised above 0, the Sonos speaker is directed to play the next track. The music changes. Life improves.
