The Twelve is a rolling annual program built around the best twelve casks of Scotch Whisky under Diageo’s custodianship.
Diageo is the world’s largest Scotch Business, with millions of casks silently ageing across Scotland, The Twelve represents the pinnacle of Diageo’s whisky program.
After a rigorous tasting and selection process, the twelve most superlative expressions of a single style or distillery’s output are selected from Diageo’s stocks to be part of a list offered for sale to collectors and connoisseurs around the world. This is The Twelve.
Once a year a select handful of the world’s highest profile collectors are brought together as the list is revealed in its entirety; an opportunity to taste some of the most valuable whiskies on the planet and meet other likeminded connoisseurs.
Last year’s event took place in Aldourie Castle outside Inverness where PRP transformed the steadings into a Michelin starred dining room with Chef Jordan Bailey and a secret tasting space where the star of the 2024 list (a 1977 Brora) was revealed.
