​ S.F. Skate Club was founded over 20 years ago by Shawn Connolly and Thuy Nguyen (RIP) back when San Francisco was a Mecca for skateboarding. Even in the face of a gentrified city, and countless challenges —including Shawn’s ongoing battle with Parkinson’s — SF Skate Club is still pushing strong, using tools like CashApp to stay financially supported. Two decades later SF Skate Club still stays true to its original mission ––  to empower youth by providing them with a board, mentorship, and the freedom to express themselves and represent their city.
