Kanye West - Cruel Summer

​Kanye West commissioned us to create a narrative, 7-screen immersive cinematic experience, starring Kid Cudi, to premiere during the Cannes Film Festival. Rather than create a film inspired by an album, this film would inspire the creation of an album, Cruel Summer.

​We developed a script based on Kanye’s vision, scouted locations around the world, filmed on-location in Qatar with an international cast and crew of more than 200 people, designed custom systems for camera, VTR, and editorial, and worked closely with OMA and 2x4 to create a custom pyramid theatre. We premiered the film during the Cannes Film Festival to amazing reviews within 6 weeks of calling wrap in Qatar.
