Colombian music artist and global superstar Maluma brought Formula 1 racing to fans who couldn’t make it in real life through an original song and music video created in partnership with Google Chrome.
“Cruise with Chrome,” a campaign created by The Martin Agency, features an original song from Maluma—who is an F1 fan—titled “Pit Stop '' which uses the sounds of a McLaren F1 team race car engine as part of the beat production.
A music video, directed by French visual artist Quentin Deronzier, known for working with artists like Drake, The Weeknd and Doja Cat, depicts a stand-in for the artist called “Luis” taking his place on set for the video shoot before he returns to Maluma’s residence, where he is making music.
The video, which launched May 2nd (just ahead of the F1 race weekend in Miami), was inspired by true events, as Maluma was not able to make Google Chrome’s “Pit Stop” shoot in Miami due to the birth of his daughter.
