South Africa has come a long way in 30 years. The opportunities that have opened up for everyone since ’94 are astonishing, and yet it’s sometimes taken for granted or forgotten about. Brand South Africa and agency Ebony & Ivory thought it was high time we were reminded of how proud we should be of our achievements as a country.

And what better way to bring South Africans together than to also bring an entire creative team together to portray our accomplishments. Cue Brand SA, Ebony & Ivory and the whole Spitfire crew – along with some 38 extras – collaborating closely to create an emotive and engaging piece celebrating our 30 years of democracy.

Intercut with stock and historical footage, the film authentically captures South Africans from all walks of life and all persuasions living their lives in ways that simply weren’t possible before democracy.
