Having celebrity endorsements is extremely helpful in advertising, but getting their approvals can be tedious. Catch&Release can manage that entire process, so you can focus on the fun stuff -- just like Blue Shield did in this female empowerment spot. Total Shots: 208 > Curated: 208> Delivered: 86> Entered Clearance: 7> Licensed Shots: 7
The shots for this project were expiring from last year. They wanted to renew many of the shots and create a new spot, but refreshed for 2021 with a Pioneering Women theme. It was an entirely new team from Butler Shine, tight timeline and to make things more complicated, there was a hand off in the middle of the project to a new producer. We needed to renew talent for Billy Jean King and Sally Ride (as well as explain talent vs licensing fees) and the client had a few shots they self curated that required replacement due to inability to get model releases. Cris and Brent managed the talent renewals and Buck curated shots with the direction they needed shots of ethnic women, preferably black but also needed Asian representation. In total there were 9 new shots, 8 Repped and 1 UGC and we replaced 2 shots (1 UGC Woman's March, 1 Repped-Dissolve Girl in Classroom) for them with Buck's curation. The entire project turn around was performed in under a week despite the fact there wasn't a creative brief and multiple new players (including myself). Think the take away was the incredible agility within the C&R team to get this delivered in a very tight timeline with little insight and multiple hand offs at the agency necessitating re-educating (thanks to Rafael) the new players over and over.
