Mr. Munro is a short film inspired by the photographic work of David Picard and Andrew Ly. It serves as a visual poem, tracing the journey of a mysterious character who seems at home in the swamp, his attire and demeanor reminiscent of a blend between Patrick Bateman and Edward Scissorhands. Mr. Munro articulates his odyssey in verse, moving from inner darkness to inner light. The poetic structure was initially provided by ChatGPT and later refined by Juliette Garcia León for a human touch and relatability, resulting in a storyline that feels both familiar and eerie.
Accompanied by evocative music and sound design, the visuals create a surreal atmosphere, inviting viewers to immerse themselves in Mr. Munro's enigmatic tale.
