Directing duo Cokau Lab, who are represented by CASEY in the US, directed a radiant new spot for iconic French brand L’Occitane. The ad showcases the duo’s versatility as it toggles between the beautiful shoreline of Corsica to the studio, in a vertiginous dive into the essence of the brand’s new Immortelle facial cream.
From aerial photography to tabletop, to a creative visual articulation of the immortelle flower’s microscopic structure, the project relies on the complementary expertise of Cokau’s directors, Achille Coquerel - whose background is in editing - and Thomas Kauffmann - who was a motion designer.
Cokau’s transdisciplinary approach is reflected in the diversity of their work and clients, which include Land Rover, Lancôme, TAG Heuer, McDonald’s, Pernod Ricard, Shu Uemura, Bentley, Guerlain, Audemars Piguet, and Yves Saint Laurent - to name a few.
The duo joined New York production house CASEY earlier this year. CASEY’s award-winning roster includes VFX innovator Carlo Van de Roer/Satellite Lab, as well as Favourite Colour: Black, Andree Ljutica, Marc Trautmann, Nick & Chloe, Mads Perch, and Claire Benoist.
