ZenithOptimedia has announced the appointment of James Hudson as Head of Digital UK, and Pedro Mona as Head of Digital Technology UK. The pair join the agency in the newly created roles from the beginning of December, further strengthening the agency’s digital capabilities following the appointment of Stefan Bardega as Global Chief Digital Officer earlier this year.
Hudson joins ZenithOptimedia from AKQA where he was Head of Media and worked to develop the media offering within the European business. He helped to bring media strategy and planning to a number of brands across the group including Nike, Mini, Xbox, EDF, and French Connection. Prior to this, Hudson spent four years working at independent digital planning and buying agency i-level, where he was in charge of the strategic and brand elements of the Sky account. In his new role at ZenithOptimedia, Hudson will responsible for leading the agency’s digital strategy on key UK clients as well as developing the overall digital product in the UK.
Mark Howley, Group Managing Director, ZenithOptimedia UK commented, “James has a well-earned reputation as one of the very best digital thinkers in the industry. In a digital first and interconnected world, talent like James is essential to orchestrating and driving forward our clients’ communications.”
Alongside Hudson, Pedro Mona joins ZenithOptimedia from mobile agency SOMO, where he was in charge of media operations. In his new role, Mona will be responsible for ad technology, digital analytics and digital operations.
Stefan Bardega, Global Chief Digital Officer, ZenithOptimedia commented, “James and Pedro are two of the sharpest digital operators in the country. They have both helped transform businesses through digital communications, technology and data. They will be a real asset to ZenithOptimedia and our clients.”
