Romantic comedy to air on South African TV on Valentine's weekend

Zebra Worldwide's Award-winning Short ‘Konneksies’ to Screen in South Africa

Arriving on South African TV screens this Valentine’s weekend is Zebra Worldwide's short film Konneksies.

Chanelle De Jager and Martin Venter have written a beautiful, local love story, set in the Little Karoo. Bennie and Retha are two lonely souls, searching for love. With both going through inner conflict and signing up for a dating site, the two are taken on a journey of self-discovery.

Will they find their true love? Or are they setting themselves up for disaster?

‘Konneksies’ is a romantic comedy with a big heart set in a small town. A universal story of finding love in the strangest places.

Directed by Mark Dymond and Nic Franklin, Konneksies was shot over 5 days in the picturesque town of Montagu on Route 62 in the Western Cape.  It was produced by Bernadine Wolfaardt-Franklin, El Wolf and Dirk Van Den Berg and shot by Director of Photography Federico Alfonzo.

Konneksies distinctive style has seen it screened at the Silwerskermfees festival, where Chanelle was nominated for Best Actress, with the film winning the Audience Choice Award for Best Film.

Konnesksies screens 9pm, Saturday 13th February on Kyknet.
