Wunderman Thompson Benelux has appointed Sandra Bold to the newly created role of chief creative officer. She joins from Publicis Milano, where she was global creative director and oversaw global campaigns for brands including Heineken and Bottega Veneta.
In her new role, Sandra will work across Wunderman Thompson offices in Amsterdam, Antwerp, and Brussels, to lead the agency’s creative output and drive excellence across its client portfolio in the region, which includes Microsoft, JDE, and VodafoneZiggo. She will be based in Amsterdam and report to Wunderman Thompson Benelux chief executive officer, Erwin Jansen, working closely with Kristof Snels, executive creative director of Wunderman Thompson Belgium, and Carlos Camacho, executive creative director of Wunderman Thompson Amsterdam.

Sandra started her career as an architect but swiftly moved into advertising in Bucharest. During her time in Romania, she won several awards at major advertising festivals, such as Cannes, Clio, Eurobest and The One Show. She also contributed to McCann Romania winning ‘Agency of the Year’ and ‘Network of the Year’ four years in a row.
She moved from Romania to join Publicis London, where she was named one of the ‘Top 100 Superwomen’ by Pitch Magazine and was chosen to take part in the Future Leaders programme by D&AD. She moved to Publicis Milan in 2018.
Sandra has also judged across industry award shows including Clio (2019), The One Show (2020), Cannes Lions (2021), The New York Festivals Executive Jury (2021), Dubai Lynx (2021), ANDYs Europe and Global (2022), D&AD (2022) and Golden Drum (2022).
