Creative problem solving abounds as we descend another week deeper into the pandemic, writes LBB’s Alex Reeves
We’re so past the cookie-cutter “in it together” platitudes from brands now. If you take a look at the best work we’ve seen this week you’ll see a range of solutions to real Covid-19 problems from all over the world. Droga5 New York and the Ad Council wrote a song to try and take on the mental health challenges linked to the pandemic, Wunderman Thompson Dubai and Bose are using clever tech to drown out the racket in people’s home offices and TBWA\Helsinki turned to a classic optical illusion to help remind people what a safe distance is to prevent the spread of coronavirus. Aside from that, there have been some lush productions, like Snoop Dogg’s perfectly-pitched music video for food delivery service Just Eat (shot just days before glossy productions stopped), a music video groaning under the weight of luscious VFX and a joyful spot of graphic design for IKEA Russia.
