WizKid's New Promo for 'Joro' Discovers London's West African Roots

FAMILIA director Adriaan Louw has teamed up with WizKid to create visuals for his new track, Joro.

‘Joro’, the second of the two upcoming tracks to be released, was shot in London and Lagos. The concept of the video is based on the idea that WizKid uses his music to create a spiritual connection with people around the world. And in this case, he connects with a female protagonist in London, causing her to progressively unwind her performance in a series of beautifully captured dance moves.

This concept is symbolic of the growth and power that African music, and especially West African music, is having on a global scale and at the same time also showcases its roots within London.
