Winter Round up with Tango Production

Q> How has 2024 been for you?

Tango>This year seemed to fly by! Passed in a blink of an eye! It started out a bit slow, but has ended with many projects in the pipeline! And as what always happens, almost back to back. All our producers have been very busy the past few months and we have still two more shoots this year! We are very lucky. 

Q> How does this year compare to last?

Tango>This year is comparable to 2023 but the jobs have staggered rather than spread out like they did last year. We have had several jobs confirmed or almost confirmed and then have got cancelled for different reasons. I haven’t seen this happen much before. 

Q> The UK has suffered a tough year, do you think this has affected service production or are you getting projects elsewhere?

Tango>We have definitely seen less projects from the UK, even though the UK still remains our main market. The pitching process has been longer and more challenging for sure with several competitors and less money overall.

Q> Have you seen a lot of repeat business? New clients? 

Tango>We are so happy to see returning clients like Smuggler and Rogue, but it has been great to see interest in our country from new clients. We just shot a very cool project for Reset UK.

Q> What do you think are the biggest draws to Poland?

Tango>We are still competitive in terms of budget and providing clients with high-end production values. Something we are very proud of here in Poland. We definitely have a good reputation of being able to handle big productions and creative unlike some other Eastern European countries and we are very proud of that.

Q> Who are your biggest European competitors in terms of service?

Tango>At this point I would say Serbia or Hungary and for certain projects Romania or Bulgaria.

Q> What has been your best brief/exciting/ memorable project this year?

Tango>There have been several good ones, it would be hard to pick one - but one of our producers Antek Grzymała had this fun "challenge" with combining snow, sliding cars on an icy road, alongside low loaders in the city centre at night for a McDonald’s shoot. We are rarely bored here at Tango.

Q> What can we expect from TANGO in 2025?

Tango>Engagement, enthusiasm for what we do and true enjoyment of every step of the production process.  We believe in the personal relationships we establish with our clients and we intend to continue working this way. So send your projects our way and we promise you will not regret it!
