In June 2022, we joined 70 other companies around the UK in the world's largest trial of the four Day Week.
The trial was organised by 4-Day-Week Global, a campaign that uses what is called the 100-80-100 model: 100% of productivity, 80% of the hours, 100% of the pay.
At the end of the trial, we were happy to find that productivity had remained high and we had actually had our best year as a company to date.
Whilst running the trial our team were happier, healthier and more creative and in December 2022 we proudly became a permanent four Day Week company.
Our studios are now closed for Wellness Wednesdays.
We found that Wednesday provides enough room to hit the usual deadlines of Fridays and Mondays, whilst giving enough planning time on either side of the week to make sure productivity doesn’t slip!
We can plan enough in advance to keep everyone happy, and so far our clients have been extremely supportive (with many expressing a desire to try it themselves).
We know that you can’t plan for every eventuality and sometimes things don’t run exactly as expected. As a small team we’re able to be flexible when needed and are of course always available in emergencies.
We also work on Wednesdays during a week when there is a bank holiday, to avoid having a number of three day weeks throughout the year.
Becoming a 4 Day Week company has helped our team with a better work / life balance;meaning less burnout / sickness and improved mental health, giving us more space to be our best creative selves; both in and outside of work.
