Lucky Generals has been appointed by Whitby Seafoods as its first-ever creative agency. It picked up the business without a full pitch after impressing the client at the chemistry stage. One other un-named agency was involved in the process.
Lucky Generals will now be tasked with helping Whitby Seafoods build its brand awareness with the specific brief of driving consumers to the freezer aisle to buy Whitby Seafood’s core product, scampi.
Vickie Ridley, head of new business at Lucky Generals, said: “We are thrilled to be working with Whitby Seafoods; it is an amazing family business, with a very special culture and an incredibly delicious product - who doesn’t love scampi? And, if we win any more business in Yorkshire we’ll need to open an office up there, which would be no bad thing.”
Laura Whittle, the marketing and sales director at Whitby Seafoods, added: “The team at Lucky Generals got to grips with our business and what we are trying to achieve immediately, as well as really trying to understand our culture and our process. We can’t wait to get to work."
