The Oscar nominated director is renowned for his powerful storytelling and undeniable versatility

The award-winning director has worked with with brands, including P&G, Cricket, McDonald’s, Meta, and States United to Prevent Gun Violence. Kevin began his career directing short films and long format documentary projects. Kevin frequently collaborates with Netflix, helming projects including an upcoming episode of Chef’s Table and the breakout hit documentary feature for the UNTOLD series: “The Rise and Fall of AND1”.

Kevin’s work has won critical acclaim and numerous awards including the AICP and SHOTS award for 'Best New Director', YDA Gold, a Cannes Lion, four x D&ADs, and an Oscar nomination for his short film, My Nephew Emmett.

“Kevin’s work blew us away, but as soon as we got to know him, we knew had a place on the Westside roster. When you meet Kevin, you can’t wait to start collaborating with him,” says executive producer, Amanda Morrison.

Fellow Westside EP, Ellie Winston, adds, “Kevin leads with kindness and respect, it’s an approach that allows him to find the most compelling way to tell every story.”

Finding a path from long format to commercial filmmaking sprung out of necessity for Kevin. During the turbulence of 2020 - following the murder of George Floyd, and the dramatic effects of the covid-19 pandemic, Kevin was inspired by how advertising creatives were addressing global issues with nuance, strength and urgency. Kevin adds, “What I discovered was an insanely creative space that granted me the opportunity to not only use my talents as a filmmaker to speak to issues I cared about, but it also gave me a playground, [an opportunity to work with] tools and artists I wouldn't otherwise be working with”

Though best known for his dramatic narratives surrounding social justice, Kevin gravitates toward any project grounded in honest storytelling. His work captures the profound range of the human experience.

Looking ahead, Kevin is in production on an episode of Chef’s Table. “This is my 3rd Netflix project and it's certainly been the most ambitious. We'll be traveling to Nigeria soon to complete the last leg of the shoot. I've been dreaming of filming in the Motherland, so I'm particularly excited for people to see how I capture it.”

After meeting Westside EPs Ellie Winston and Amanda Morison, Kevin says, “I came away feeling that they genuinely care about championing artists' creative independence. Westside has created a space where free exchange and community building can be possible, I'm very excited to be part of that kind of family.”

Kevin is represented by Little Minx in the United States.
