Wavemaker has appointed Frank Lin as its new chief transformation officer. Frank is a seasoned marketer with over 25 years experience in the advertising industry. His career in media started in the 1990s at Grey, followed by brand-side digital and marketing leadership positions, for example at McDonald’s. Quick to adapt to industry changes, Frank was a pioneer of the digital transformation practice, finessed through management roles at Simei, Leo Digital and, most recently, ChiefClouds, before joining Wavemaker.
Frank has been actively involved in helping leading marketers and brands in verticals spanning FMCG, Retail, Food and Beverage and Luxury, building world class data and measurement systems to improve marketing strategies and enhance business results.
Together with Frank’s appointment, Wavemaker has announced a round of internal promotions, including the appointment of Josephine Har as chief strategy officer, Eddie Zhuang as national head of OOH, Riki Li as national head of content and Tanya Xing as national head of precision. All of them will be based in Shanghai and will be part of CEO Jose Campon’s China leadership team.
Josephine Har, chief strategy officer
Josephine has over 20 years of experience in communications, having held client leadership and strategy roles. Josephine has been with Wavemaker for more than seven years. She adds this responsibility to her existing role as chief growth officer and brings with her deep expertise and knowledge of Wavemaker’s business, and growth levers for brands. As chief strategy officer, Josephine will bring together strategy with planning and activation to fast-track growth for Wavemaker clients.
Eddie Zhuang, national head of OOH
Eddie will lead Wavemaker’s overall Out of Home business. He has a wealth of experience in OOH planning and investment, having led OOH teams at Mindshare, Portland, Carat and Kinetic. In 2018 Eddie joined GroupM Trading to reinvent the group’s OOH. He will now integrate effective OOH investment planning, product innovation and business solutions into Wavemaker’s integrated offer for clients.
Riki Li, national head of content
With over 13 years of experience in the industry, Riki has led Wavemaker China’s content marketing team in Shanghai through fast-paced change, always staying ahead of emerging market trends. As content leader, she has developed state-of-the-art strategies for the agency’s clients, enabling them to make the most of the complex China eco-system. In this national role, Riki will continue to lead data-driven addressable content and brand-to-commerce solutions to empower Wavemaker’s clients.
Tanya Xing, national head of precision
With over 18 years of experience, Tanya is at the forefront of digital marketing. She leads the performance team at Wavemaker, encompassing all the agency's precision, search and ecommerce teams. This is strategic pillar of Wavemaker’s strategy for growth, and Tanya will continue building the agency’s market-leading performance practice with cutting edge solutions .
