Wavemaker Appoints Alastair Bannerman to Complete Client Leadership Structure

Wavemaker today completed its new Worldwide Client Leadership  Structure with the appointment of Alastair Bannerman to the role of global client president, reporting to CEO Toby Jenner. Based in London, Alister will take up the role from April 2020. 

Alistair joins global client presidents Anna Hickey and Alex Altman in Wavemaker’s global leadership team, and the trio will be the driving forces of an evolved focus on client leadership at Wavemaker.  The role is responsible for ensuring worldwide best practice, delivering excellence in client leadership and driving clients’ growth as well as creating and strengthening key client relationships. 

Commenting on the new team, Wavemaker’s Global CEO Toby Jenner said: “To deliver our clients’ growth ambitions we need an unrivalled level of capabilities from across WPP, GroupM and of course Wavemaker. In Anna, Alex and Alastair, we have three exceptional executives, all with many years of experience in building client partnerships. They will help Wavemaker build a consistent global attitude across client leadership teams throughout the Wavemaker network.”

Alistair joins Wavemaker from Mediacom where he was  global category and client president.  He brings over 20 years’ international experience in client leadership and agency management roles.  Prior to joining MediaCom in 2013, he worked at Carat, Zenith Optimedia and Starcom across sectors including FMCG, auto, technology and energy.
