VMLY&R Launches The Blueprint for Belonging V.2

The study explores today’s workplace (and the challenges therein) from the perspective of advertising professionals

Today, VMLY&R and its Inclusion Experience practice launches the Blueprint for Belonging v.2, an update on research VMLY&R kicked off in 2021 that uncovers the factors that contribute to why advertising professionals of colour are leaving the industry and/or switching jobs. Updated to include a more diverse and larger respondent pool, the study explores today’s workplace (and the challenges therein) from the perspective of advertising professionals. Conducted in 2022, this research is an insight into The Great Resignation and should be used as a guideline in 2023 for how agencies should think about their employee strategy.

Re-examining the previous research in 2022 with the same focus, 1,200 professionals from advertising and adjacent industries answered why they would want to stay at a company or leave to join a new employer or industry. Blueprint for Belonging v.2 focuses on new/updated insights based on this second round of research.
