Kirshenbaum Bond Senecal + Partners (kbs+) today announces the promotion of Vikram Tank to executive director of product, a new position at the agency, effective immediately. Reporting to Chief Information Officer Matt Powell, Tank’s promotion comes with an expansion of responsibilities including overseeing the agency’s user experience, interaction design and community management teams, as well as continuing to lead kbs+’s product vision through the agency’s digital and technology offering. His promotion emphasizes the agency’s ongoing commitment to product development and building a culture of invention.
Prior to his promotion, Tank spent three years as director of product development at kbs+ as part of the Spies and Assassins technology practice. In this role, he has helped lead the agency’s efforts to build new digital products and experiences for clients like PUMA, including The PUMA Factory and the PUMA JoyPad that is in PUMA’s retail stores around the globe, and he made major contributions to creating the BMW iWindow to the near future. He also leads the agency’s exploration of new technologies like Google Glass and 3D printing, and he helps develop new ways to source kbs+ IP.
Before joining kbs+, Tank built his expertise at Microsoft Research where he modeled the spread of links across Twitter. He also spent time at NBC helping to implement the early days of interactive television for the Bravo Network. He holds a Master’s Degree from NYU’s Interactive Telecommunications program.
