Holiday packages are so much more than gifts. To the people who receive them, they are new memories, reminders of home, wishes come true. And no one understands that better than the United States Postal Service. This year’s holiday campaign by McCann New York brings that idea to life by featuring the heart-warming story of a boy and small gift that makes his holiday complete.
The TV campaign, which runs 11/06/17 – 12/20/17, will be accompanied by Print, Radio, Digital, Social, PR, Display Media, Mobile and Paid Search.
The spot emphasises USPS’ reliability and timeliness during the busiest time of year and continues to leverage the Priority: You platform and message, with a nod to the new Informed Delivery feature. Informed Delivery allows senders to digitally preview their household’s incoming mail, currently provided for letter-sized mail pieces that are processed through USPS’ automated equipment.
The spot was directed by Bryan Buckley of Hungry Man Productions, who has directed several award winning Super Bowl commercials, and is a recipient of the DGA award, Emmy’s and over 50 Cannes Lions. The voice-over is the United States Postal Service Postmaster General, Megan Brennan and the main character is Jeremy Maguire, a recurring character from Modern Family. This was a joint effort by MRM//McCann (Digital/DM), Weber Shandwick (PR & Social), Casanova (Hispanic), UM (Media).
