University of Colorado’s Travis Hunter Teams Up with NerdWallet for the "Smartest NIL Deal Ever"

Starting today, consumers will have the opportunity to enter the NerdWallet Sweeps for a chance to win a Travis Hunter 1 of 1 collectible card.

NerdWallet is putting financial power into the very capable hands of Colorado Buffaloes’ wide receiver and cornerback, Travis Hunter, signing him for the latest season of the "Smartest NIL Deal Ever.” One of the College Football's biggest stars this season, trending up on the NFL draft board in the top 5, it's clear why NerdWallet tapped Travis to build on the equity of their “Smartest NIL Deal Ever platform—known for reimagining NIL partnerships.”

Last March, NerdWallet brought transparency into the NIL arena, when they collaborated with NCAA basketball stars JuJu Watkins (University of Southern California) and Rob Dillingham (Minnesota Timberwolves, previously at the University of Kentucky), to architect the “Smartest NIL Deal Ever.” Helping these NIL athletes to take control of their financial futures.

On September 18, Travis and NerdWallet revealed the one-of-a-kind collectible: the NerdWallet x Travis Hunter 1 of 1 "Smartest NIL Deal" Card, featuring a piece of the actual contract.

To enter the contest, consumers will simply comment, tag a friend, and include the hashtag #NerdWalletSweeps on a joint Instagram post from Travis Hunter and NerdWallet, which goes live on Friday, September 20. The giveaway ends on Thursday, September 26, with the winner announced via direct message on Friday, September 27.

Travis also received financial guidance from NerdWallet on the 3 Types of Savings Accounts. This ensures that Travis is making well-informed decisions to secure his financial future. As part of the deal, Travis will allocate at least 20 percent of his earnings to a savings account, keeping with NerdWallet’s commitment to transparency in NIL deals.
