The Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity has named Uncommon Creative Studio Creative Founder Nils Leonard as Industry Craft Lions jury president for the 2022 edition of the festival. Nils has spent over 20 years in the advertising and design industry working across some of the most recognised agencies in London. Nils is also the founder of the fastest growing start up in advertising history, Uncommon Creative Studio alongside Lucy Jameson and Natalie Graeme, a creative studio building brands that people in the real world actually wish existed.
The Industry Craft Lion celebrates the creative artistry, talent and skill required to deliver a beautifully executed solution and bring a creative idea to life.
Nils Leonard, co-founder at Uncommon said: “Whether it’s brilliant copywriting, art direction, photography, illustration or typography – intricate craft is a key pillar in our industry to articulate real meaning. It holds a power to portray something not only beautiful but something that can stop us in our tracks and make us think. I’m looking forward to leading this year’s jury to celebrate the very best industry craft has to offer globally across every medium from packaging, design, print and outdoor.”
This year is set to mark the return of the physical festival to Cannes from June 20th to 24th after the cancelation of the 2020 edition and a virtual event in 2021 due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
The festival will take place from 20th-24th June, in Cannes, France. The Lions will be judged, announced, and honoured throughout the week. Further information on the Awards and Lions can be found at canneslions.com.
